Finance and Accounting Consultant
Tulsa, OK Responsibilities:
Accuracy with financial entries and documentation to meet multiple and complex grant requirements. Driven to work collaboratively with a diverse workforce and lead a team of experienced professionals. Ability to communicate complex financial information to a variety of listeners in both verbal and written form. Willing to offer support and receive constructive feedback from colleagues in order to create a professional working atmosphere that is conducive to change and improvement. Ensure proper and timely financial accounting in accordance with GAAP and OMB Uniform Guidance. Oversee annual audits and other federal financial reviews on time and with minimal or no adjustments. Lead the Accounting team using agency values to ensure collaboration, support employee growth, and provide excellent customer service to the agency. Monitor, coordinate, and direct the day-to-day operations of accounting to include but not limited to month and year-end close, accounts payables/receivables, fixed asset management, general ledger, and monthly financial reports. Manage multiple complex grants to ensure grant budgets are well informed, only allowable costs reimbursed, grants are fully spent, and adequate cash reserves are maintained. Monitor the financial performance of our self insurance health plan and adjust employer-paid premiums as needed. Develop an annual budget. Create systems to align the budget to actuals overall and by grant and program to ease grant applications and grant management. Manage our financial software to produce well designed reports and create a system for Directors to easily self monitor their own budget to actuals. Maintain and administer written accounting policies and procedures that reflect current laws and guidelines and strengthen internal controls. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in accounting, business, fiscal management or related field. CPA certification required. Progressively responsible financial experience (8-10 years). Managerial experience. Non-profit accounting experience preferred. Why choose Addison Finance & Accounting?
