Job Description - Outpatient Behavioral Health Medical Director - Denver (24014026)AdventHealth Porter Hospital is seeking an Outpatient Behavioral Health Medical Director
to join its team in Denver, Colorado. The Porter Centre for Behavioral Health is a comprehensive, well-regarded program with a diverse and dynamic team, serving as the hub for behavioral health services for AdventHealth Rocky Mountain Region. AdventHealth is a national, not-for-profit, mission-driven hospital system with five acute care facilities in the Denver metro area.We are seeking a physician who will model and lead excellence in clinical practice, doctor-patient relationships, leadership, and professionalism, as well as someone who enjoys both direct patient care and growing programs. 90% of the Director’s time will be clinical, and 10% is administrative.Qualifications:Board certified/board eligible in PsychiatryAdditionally board certified/board eligible in addiction medicine preferred2-5 years of experienceExtensive experience in psychotropic medication managementExperience in Medication Assisted Therapy for substance use disorders preferredExperience in leadership preferredPrior experience in collaborating with APPs preferredAbility to work collaboratively with an existing multidisciplinary team to optimize care for patients and support a growing programDesires a collaborative work environmentCommitted to program growth and a positive and innovative team cultureIncentive/Benefits Package:Employed position through AdventHealth Porter HospitalBase compensation: $270,931 + productivity and quality bonusesMedical directorship compensation: $28,080Signing bonus: $18,000Relocation assistance: $15,000Medical, dental, and vision coverage403b/457b contribution and matchCovered CME time and expensesOutreach opportunitiesAbout Our Program:A large medication management practice in which the Medical Director sees patients and collaborates with 4-5 APPsIndividual psychotherapy, currently provided by four licensed cliniciansA TMS practice staffed by a TMS technician and TMS trained psychiatrist3 Intensive Outpatient Programs: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mental Health, and Substance Use30 adult inpatient psychiatric beds staffed by 4 psychiatrists14 geriatric inpatient beds staffed by 2 psychiatristsElectric convulsive therapy staffed by 3 psychiatristsAn assessment team and Psychiatric Consult / Liaison team that provide services to all 5 area hospital ED’s and medical floorsCommunity Description:The Denver Metro area is one of the healthiest and fastest-growing areas in the country.
