Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide.As an Architect, you will serve as the project architect for the major rehabilitation of Athens chancery. You will be providing critical architectural and construction quality assurance and technical oversight. Your responsibilities will include technical inspections, monitoring the contractor's quality control program, and ensuring compliance with project drawings and specifications. This role is essential to support and assist OBO/Athens in achieving project success.Key responsibilities:

Perform technical inspections of architectural elements and ensure compliance with design parameters.Observe onsite construction to determine if construction elements are being installed, formed, and executed properly.Monitor construction progress, submit weekly progress reports, and provide recommendations based on technical reviews.Conduct quality assurance tasks by inspecting and ensuring corrective actions are taken.Review contractor submittals for compliance with contract requirements.Monitor the construction contractor’s quality assurance and safety program.Provide technical inspections of architectural elements and interpret discipline-specific drawings.Identify and resolve coordination issues with other disciplines.Prepare construction reports detailing progress and provide solutions for identified problems.Work collaboratively with the Project Director and Construction Manager.Maintain a current working knowledge of U.S. standards, acceptable products, and procedures.Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.Qualifications to be successful in the role:

Bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited U.S. university (or equivalent experience).Minimum of seven (7) years experience on construction projects of similar scope and dollar value; Overseas experience is preferred.Final Secret, Interim Top Secret (ITS), or Final Top Secret (TS) clearance issued by DCSA is required.Must be able to read design/construction drawings and understand design narratives and calculations.Knowledge of International Codes and Construction Safety regulations (e.g., EM 385-1-1, OSHA).Experience in assessing and responding to Requests for Information (RFI).Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).Strong ability to interpret drawings, conduct technical inspections, and resolve construction-related issues.Must lawfully reside in the United States and be eligible for employment (Planate does not sponsor visas or work permits).Visit our career site
