Now is the time to define your future, and ours too.POSITION SUMMARY:Electrical Engineer is responsible for all maintenance and projects activities in area of responsibility according to Nestle corporate strategies, standards, and specifications, related to:Electrical & Process ControlManufacturing Execution System (MES)Automation and ITPlant personnel development and trainingEnvironment and operational safety for all areas aboveWill be required to perform all job requirements and meet all qualifications as determined by management for an Electrical Engineer, but works independently to perform installation, monitoring, maintenance, repair, and/or design modification of high-tech distributed manufacturing and industrial process control systems for the Fremont Plant. This entails optimizing system designs, maintenance, and operations processes; satisfying all safety concerns; building capability of skilled trades and participating in short- and long-range planning perspective with respect to instrumentation, automation, controls, and equipment.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Support -

Attend system training with the intent of becoming a Fremont Site subject matter expert. This will include supporting the First Food and Third Food production lines and the training of peers. Provides hardware and software application support assistance to operations.Projects -

Manage/Participate the development of project scopes, design and standards of systems, and functional specifications. Manage/participate in the execution of projects including concept development, credit submission, bidding process, contractor management, procurement, installation, and commissioning, and performs system start-ups, qualification and handover.Maintenance -

Develop/optimize the PM plan, supervise the execution of Planned Maintenance activities. Specify, organize, and maintain adequate spare parts for control and instrumentation systems. Maintain updated key documentation and drawings of the Network Infrastructure, Electrical System & Process Control, instrument calibration, PIDs for the areas of responsibilities, in accordance with management of change procedures. Assists in the development, implementation, repair, and maintenance of the

site wide

instrumentation, automation control, MES, and electrical systems to attain “World Class” performance.Improvements -

Serve as an overall technical resource for several production areas, lead skilled tradesmen and participate in maintenance activities. Troubleshoot production equipment and improve the line performance & reliability. Provide technical coaching, development, and training to electrical/control technicians, instrument technicians and other personnel in the area by creating detailed training documents and materials, developing training plans, facilitating both classroom and hands-on trainings.Performs additional duties as assigned by Management.All employees will support and participate in Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) and Total Performance Management (TPM) as a part of their job responsibility within their Business Unit or as assigned within the factory.Employee shall follow Fremont Factory safety & environmental objectives & targets, follow the plant safety rules, report unsafe conditions immediately, report incidents immediately or by the end of the shift, maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs.REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.EXPERIENCE:Minimum 3 to 5 years of electrical and automation engineering experience required.PREFERRED:Factory Automation & Industrial Electrical systems in the pharmaceutical or food industry. Knowledgeable in electricity, instrumentation, MES (Manufacturing Execution System). Specialized in process control (PLC, HMI/SCADA, Network, IT, etc). Extensive experience in AB Control Logix, Wonderware Archestra in Touch or System Platform, Siemens control system, Electrical and electronic circuits (480V and below). Experience in industrial Robot technology, Servo, and motion controls.SKILLS:Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization. Good interpersonal, communication, and networking skills. Good organizational/administrative skills. High proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project. Process qualification, validation in the pharmaceutical or food industry IQ, OQ, PQ. Good knowledge and experience with factory automation systems (hardware & software):Process automation, PLC, SCADA / HMI’s, Wonderware or similar systemComputer Programming Languages C#, Python, JavaIT Infrastructure and networkMES and SAP MIIControl Database systemsPower distribution in industrial facilitiesPneumatic and Hydraulic systems
