Job Summary

:

The Roving Assistant Manager assists the Property Supervisor in managing all aspects of daily building operations at properties assigned to within the CCDC portfolio. The responsibilities include office management, administrative paperwork, responding to general inquiries from residents, and resolving resident problems. The ideal candidate is a team player with strong interpersonal, customer services, and organizational skills who pays attention to detail. We encourage people of color to apply.What You Will DoProperty ManagementSupport the Property Supervisor and Manager with the overall operation of building(s)Use Yardi to print reports and enter re-certification informationCreate and maintain tenant files, applicant waiting list, and transfer listAssist with paperwork for housing application and rent collection processAssist with bank depositsAssist with processing applications, move-ins, move-outs, and certificationsAssist the Property Supervisor and Manager with compiling and completing tenant information for monthly and annual summary reports, such as Vacancy Report, PSR, and other reportsResponsible for managing the building when the Property Manager is off-siteFloat to different properties within CCDC portfolios as neededBe the backup for Property Managers when they are off-site as neededTenant RelationsEducate residents about and enforce compliance with regulations, lease provisions, and house rulesAddress tenant requests/disputes and respond to building emergenciesAssist tenants and perform other duties as required for successful operation of buildingForward any reasonable accommodation requests and fair housing complaint in a timely fashion to 504 CoordinatorOffice ManagementProcess applications, photocopying, faxing, and filingProcess invoices and send to Property Manager and/or Property Supervisoras needed for approvalProcess daily mail and screen incoming phone callsOrder office supplies, fill out maintenance work orders, and distribute memos and noticesMaintain orderliness of front entrance, lobby, and adjoining rooms/areasOtherEmbody organization values (respect & compassion, empowerment, teamwork)Contribute to a safe and pleasant work environmentFollow policies, procedures, and safe work practicesOther duties as assignedWhat You BringPleasant and professional manner with calm dispositionAbility to work with people of diverse social, economic, and ethnic backgroundsAbility to work independently and exercise own judgment in problem-solvingGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to adjust to changing situations and work under pressureExcellent interpersonal and organizational skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, Yardi Voyage or other property management softwareEducation and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)High School Diploma or GED equivalentTwo (2) year prior experience in residential property managementDetail-oriented with experience processing paperworkSensitivity to issues facing low-income, disabled, and elderly populationsPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity/prior experience with low-income/affordable residential property managementPrior experience YARDI VoyagerExperience in Affordable HousingPrior experience with Recertification and vacancy processingBilingual in Cantonese/Spanish
