Drawing on our entrepreneurial spirit, our employees are encouraged each day to rise to challenges and embrace opportunities to make a difference.How you will create an impactThe Senior Regional Production Specialist must be able to illustrate the highest levels of technical proficiency and underwriting acumen combined with marketing and sales skills to meet production underwriting goals while maintaining budgeted loss and expense ratios. Candidates are expected to work effectively in a team environment to develop broker and portfolio strategies in addition to working independently to manage a profitable book of new and renewal business.This role is your opportunity to drive profitable growth in Lexington Commercial Property by working on creative solutions for complex risks. You will be responsible for underwriting a range of new and renewal business, using your proven relationship building skills.We want you to work closely with brokers to communicate risk appetite and our value proposition – and to understand the deal structures, terms, and products that best meet clients’ needs. You will then negotiate pricing, terms & conditions, and deal structure with brokers and clients.It will be important to generate new business by expanding your broker network, attending broker events, and building new relationships across the market. You will collaborate with AIG Distribution, territory managers, and underwriters in other business lines to target desirable accounts and cross-selling opportunities.As a senior member of the team, you will set a high standard of customer service to brokers and clients – providing an example for junior colleagues to follow. You will also provide guidance, mentoring, and training to less-experienced underwriters – and support them in building their broker network.What you’ll need to succeedAn insurance professional with 7+ years' experience in Commercial Property E&S underwriting.The candidate must have the ability to underwrite property risks across the spectrum of E&S Property business while helping to set direction for your team and maintaining a balanced portfolio across both primary and excess placements.Position requires ability to underwrite 100%, primary/shared and layered, and excess structures.A strong understanding of current market conditions, ability to quickly make decisions, turn around quotes, and manage multiple prospects at one time are essential.As a member of the senior leadership within Lexington, take on responsibilities beyond everyday management and underwriting, including mentoring, collaboration within the Zone across business divisions, and driving a diverse and inclusive culture.Must be able to work with regional Property leadership peers to continue to build a nationally renowned team and culture for Lexington.Ready to step up to new challenges? In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
