LOCATION : Albany, GA
JOB DESCRIPTION : Marine Corps Logistics Command (MARCORLOGCOM) is seeking a Project Manager to effectively sustain command-wide auditability through implementation of a robust Managers Internal Control Program (MICP) in accordance with DoD Instruction 5010.40, provide data collection, project management, assessments, and Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) pursuant to FAR 37.203(b) to obtain the following: Opinions, special knowledge, or skills of noted experts; Enhance the understanding of, and develop alternative solutions to, complex issues; Support and improve the operation of organizations; and ensure the more efficient or effective operation of managerial systems.
The Project Manager has the following responsibilities:
Provide professional project management services to develop project plans and to incorporate and monitor the implementation of a governance body, strategic audit preparedness plan, MICP program, and change management.
Services include generating reports on project progress and other reports.
Expertise in DoD Full Financial Statement audit sustainment and OMB Circular A-123 implementation methodology.
Design and conduct comprehensive analyses, studies, surveys, reviews, and/or research projects to define problems, identify potential courses of action (COAs), and propose solutions for MARCORLOGCOM NWCF and GF in order to improve upon MARCORLOGCOM audit sustainment posture and its MICP Program.
Consolidate findings into completed staff action papers and reports with supporting briefing slides.
Prepare and present high-level briefings of conclusions and recommended courses of action to MARCORLOGCOM executive and senior management teams and other Marine Corps organizations and departments.
Leverage applicable DoD financial policies & guidance such as, but not limited to OMB Circular A-123, DoDI 5010.40, FAR, and FAM to execute the ERM program.
Lead client relationship building.
Candidate shall have excellent verbal and written communication skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to address ad hoc tasking timely, and manage project timelines & deliverables.
Candidate shall be able to plan and lead major work assignments.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS : Secret
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS : None required; Bachelor’s in finance or related field preferred
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : PMP required
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : Minimum 10 years of experience serving as a project manager; Demonstrate expertise in audit readiness and sustainment, ERM and MICP projects and change management in the DoD. USMC, and/or MARCORLOGCOM experience preferred.
