Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm / Friday 8am - 1:30pmThe role you’ll contribute:

The Radiology Technologist under the direction of the Office manager/Clinical Supervisor performs radiologic procedures as ordered by the physician. Assists the physician during casting, treatment and examination of the patient.The value you’ll bring to the team:Prepares patients for radiology procedures. Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.Uses gonadal shielding when possible for all patients of childbearing age and all pediatric patients.Develops and processes radiology film.Maintains x-ray film files in a neat and orderly fashion. Ensures that reports and/or films are available for the physician in a timely manner.Logs radiology procedures completed. Processes routine paperwork. Types and files reports as requested.Maintains darkroom and x-ray room in a clean and orderly manner. Stocks necessary medical and radiology supplies.Orders x-ray supplies on a routine basis. Rotates film stock.Verifies correct charges on charge slip for x-rays, treatments and procedures.QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:High school graduate or equivalent.Graduate of a recognized Radiology Technology program.Current, valid State of Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist license.Current, valid American Registry of Radiology Technologists certification.Current, valid CPR certification.Must be willing to float to other AHMG practices, within reason, when patient load, vacation schedules, etc. make it necessary.Preferred qualifications:1 year of medical office experience preferred.
