Salary: $75,000 - $82,000 per year, based on experience

Terrific Community Investments Manager position with a large foundation committed to strengthening the communities in Miami and furthering philanthropic initiatives across the country. This position will join a passionate team focused on actively engaging with local nonprofits to share the organization's grantmaking strategy. The Community Investments Manager will provide portfolio management services to a large family foundation and their grantmaking activities. This includes managing a significant grantee portfolio, prospecting, and overseeing the proposal open call and grant review process. This is a front-facing position that will steward relationships with various stakeholders and be entrenched in the Miami social sector to guide grantmaking efforts. This role requires stellar communication, relationship building, and project management skills. Candidates should have approximately 8+ years of related experience in the social sector. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required. Candidates must be passionate about Miami and possess a strong knowledge of the nonprofit community.

Responsibilities:

Develop a deep knowledge of the Miami nonprofit community; research, identify, and cultivate relationships with potential partners.

Manage a grantmaking portfolio for a significant funder comprised of 50+ grantees.

Serve as the point of contact and provide a high level of stewardship to various stakeholders including funders, grantees, and community partners.

Lead open grant calls, implement project timelines, collaborate with an external impact evaluator, oversee the proposal review process, and review grant agreements.

Support the evaluation of the organization's grantmaking strategies.

Craft insightful stories for donors about how their contributions will impact the community.

Write recommendation memos for funders.

Collaborate with the Philanthropy team to provide recommendations to funders about nonprofit organizations that match their philanthropic goals.

Conduct research to gain knowledge on community issues and local organizations to drive grantmaking activities.

Represent the foundation at community events.

Qualifications:

Approximately 8+ years of relevant experience.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

Must be local with a deep knowledge of the Miami nonprofit landscape.

Strong preference for candidates with donor services experience and/or grant portfolio management experience.

Successful track record of relationship-building with internal and external stakeholders.

Thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Possess a strategic mindset.

Ability to collaborate at all levels within the foundation and with funders.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Strong project management skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.

Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for events and meetings.
