The ideal candidate will have experience in Maryland family law, custody, and divorce cases, and will be bilingual in Spanish. This role involves providing expert legal counsel and representation in family law cases, managing legal issues within families, and collaborating with the SIJS Department. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.Key Duties:Provide expert legal counsel and representation to clients in custody and divorce cases.Represent clients in court for family law cases, including hearings, trials, and court proceedings.Uphold a steady schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences.Oversee and manage legal issues between family members.Advise staff on legal matters and interpret laws.Interact routinely with case workers, supervisors, program directors, and program administrators.Supervise and direct mediation sessions, offering effective legal advice.Organize and record all official documents required to file cases.Update clients regularly about their case status and progress.Work closely with the SIJS Department, managing the family law and immigration law components of clients’ cases.Attend SIJS hearings in courts throughout Maryland.Requirements:1-2 years of experience in Maryland custody and divorce cases.3 years of related law/legal experience.Experience with Maryland family law statutes, procedures, and case law.Strong academic record.Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the Bar in the State of Maryland.Skills:Expertise in Maryland family law, including custody and divorce cases.Proficiency in legal research and document preparation.Strong advocacy and courtroom skills.Ability to manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously.High level of professionalism and ethical standards.Effective time management and multitasking abilities.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Experience:Should have 1-2 years of experience in Maryland custody and divorce cases.3 years of related law/legal experience.Benefits:Health InsuranceVision Insurance401(k) planVacation timeSick timePaid Birthday and Work Anniversary offPaid ParkingLife InsuranceCompany infoBCG Attorney Search1629 K ST NW, Suite 300WashingtonDistrict of ColumbiaUnited States 20006Phone :
