Senior Tax Associate

Responsibilities: Deliver responsive client service in coordination with our financial planners, portfolio executives, and relationship managers Review tax returns and plans prepared by other Senior Tax Associates or by Tax Associates Prepare accurate and complete tax returns (Forms 1040, 1041, 709, 1065, 1120S, and 1099/W2, all schedules, and accompanying state forms) Prepare or review client bookkeeping Prepare or review responses to tax questions Prepare or review tax plans, including year-end and transaction-related tax plans (sale of a home, sale of a business, implementation of an estate planning strategy, Roth conversions, charitable contributions, etc.) Prepare or review responses to IRS and state tax notices Present or co-present (with our financial planners) tax planning options to clients Deliver regular reports on agreed-upon key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide as-needed status updates on client work At the direction of the Manager of Tax and Family Office Services, serve as the designated or backup processor for tax e-filing Contribute to the successful completion of projects as directed by Manager of Tax and Family Office Services Qualifications: Bachelor's degree 5+ years experience preparing forms 1040, 1041, 709, 1065, 1120S, and 1099/W2, all schedules, and accompanying state forms Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA required Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills Strong computer skills (PDF-paperless documents, CCH Axcess, QuickBooks, eMoney, Salesforce, Excel, Word) Strong attention to detail Ability to independently prioritize individual tasks Must be compliant with all personal federal and state tax filing requirements Already hold or be eligible to obtain an IRS PTIN (preparer tax identification number) Be compliant with all initial and ongoing SEC and IRS compliance requirements Required Years of Experience:
