U-T San Diego seeks a Programmer/Analyst III to join our Interactive Team. This position is responsible for developing, interfacing, and supporting all digital technologies while providing technical solutions to parallel business strategies. Candidates will direct the design, development, and implementation of solutions to complex technical problems to provide efficient production systems in support of core organizational functions and production processes.Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years web application development experience, including a minimum of 3 years experience in Python and Django or other Python web frameworks. Candidates must have experience creating web applications that can handle large traffic bursts, unit testing, Postgres, HTML, and CSS. Experience with distributed systems such as Celery is a plus. Experience with JS, Solr, and Redis is also a plus. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is preferred. Candidates must be strong team players.Responsibilities:
Create and provide support to existing and new web applications across all interactive properties.Create and update existing and new applications for the newsroom, marketing, sales, and outside customers.Interface with customers, provide technical specifications, and maintain working documentation.Provide subject matter expertise on the capabilities and constraints of existing systems and proposed solutions.Position Details:
