A law firm seeking a Litigation Attorney:Job Overview:
The Litigation Attorney will oversee all aspects of cases in state and federal court, from pre-trial preparation to trial. This role involves representing clients, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and advocating in court proceedings.Duties:
Meet with clients and file lawsuitsPropound and respond to written discoverySchedule and attend fact witness depositionsRetain appropriate experts and attend expert depositionsSchedule and attend all hearingsPrepare for and attend mediationsPrepare cases for trial and conduct trials to verdictPrepare and file post-trial motionsAttend file audits, litigation attorney meetings, and trial clinicsRequirements:
A license in good standing to practice law in MassachusettsProven track record of winning, including a minimum of 2 jury trials as first chairAbility to handle a large and active caseload from filing through verdictSuccess in providing direction and guidance to a team of staffImpeccable verbal and written communication skillsAnalytical and research skillsStrong courtroom presence and eagerness to try casesEducation and Certifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Massachusetts State BarSkills:
Litigation experience in both state and federal courtProficiency in legal research and writingAbility to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlinesStrong organizational and time management skillsJob Location:
