State Street Global Advisors is searching for a Business Development Associate for our Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) distribution team. This is an opportunity to work within the Global Client Coverage Team in support of our OCIO Practice. SSGA currently manages over $4 trillion in assets and is a leading OCIO provider with approximately $150 billion in assets.
We are seeking a driven, self-motivated and team-oriented OCIO Business Development Associate to work directly with our senior sales team in executing a strategic plan to help grow revenues in our OCIO Practice. In this role you will be able to draw from your previous experiences and further develop your sales acumen as you learn about the OCIO industry and build strong relationships both internally and externally.
This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for As a Business Development Associate you will: Work directly with a Senior Business Development Representative supporting all aspects of institutional sales for our OCIO Practice. Play an important role in identifying new prospects, cultivating new and existing relationships, and executing a strategic business plan. Ensure OCIO pipeline is well maintained and up to date. Participate in various prospect meetings and industry events where appropriate - stay current on economic and market developments. Utilize market data, trends, and industry knowledge to develop new leads through daily consultative outreach and outbound calling. Using your technical and research skills, remain current on the competitor landscape, key differentiators and competitive advantages. Assist with preparing and organizing marketing materials and presentations for various meetings and events. Assist with Request for Proposal responses in addition to the onboarding of new clients. Collaborate and build relationships with different teams: OCIO, consultant relations, legal, compliance, finance, product management, portfolio management.

Education & Preferred Qualifications A minimum of 4-8 years of experience in an institutional sales/client facing role. Experience with OCIO/multi asset class clients. BS or BA required; MBA preferred. Series 7 and 63 required (can be obtained on the job).

Salary Range: $90,000 - $142,500 Annual. The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
