Annual salary: $235,000 – $310,000 This is a Washington, DC opportunity for an energy regulatory attorney to join a leading Energy practice group. You will join a team who are at the forefront of helping independent power producers, clean energy project developers, technology companies, and investors manage risk and find competitive advantages in the increasingly complex and dynamic power sector. The group regularly represents clients before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and appellate courts, and provides strategic business advice to entities seeking to interconnect with and participate in the markets administered by PJM, NYISO, ISO-NE, CAISO, SPP, MISO, and ERCOT. Our client’s attorneys have extensive experience with the regulatory frameworks governing energy storage, distributed energy resource aggregations, and demand response to advise clients on market-opening strategies and the development of innovative projects and business models on both the supply and demand sides of the market. You will join an established and active team of esteemed attorneys who are go-to counsel for understanding aspects of the Federal Power Act relevant to independent power producers, Section 203 applications, Section 205 rate filings, Section 206 complaints, energy market compliance and reporting, PURPA, and FERC’s regulation of project interconnection, transmission, and shared facilities matters.
