Products in this strategy are comprised of industry-leading high-speed ADCs and DACs IP cores. These cores are targeted to be integrated into transceivers and standalone products used in various other product lines across various business units.The Design Evaluation Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance evaluation test solutions working in a lab environment evaluating new core IP designs. The candidate works closely with design and software/algorithm teams to go from first silicon to the final validation of the core in the end system. The role is a mix of hardware knowledge, lab work, and software development.This role demands a technically proficient individual capable of seamlessly integrating hardware knowledge, lab experimentation, and software development skills. The Design Evaluation Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the performance and functionality of high-speed ADCs and DACs, contributing directly to the advancement and validation of cutting-edge IC technologies at ADI.Responsibilities:Design and Development:

Responsible for designing and developing high-performance evaluation test solutions using Bench Test Equipment and python control software.First Silicon Verification:

Involved in first silicon verification, which includes working with initial hardware prototypes to ensure they meet design specifications over conditions including temperature, supply, and process.PCB Design:

Contribute to PCB design efforts, ensuring compatibility and functionality with the high-speed ADCs and DACs being evaluated.Lab Work:

Hands-on work in the lab using high-end test equipment; high-speed scopes, phase-noise analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers to perform precise measurements essential for evaluating IC performance.Data Analysis:

Utilize FFT data analysis techniques to interpret and draw conclusions from performance data gathered during evaluation.Core Firmware Evaluation:

Evaluate core firmware to ensure it meets performance and functionality requirements before final validation.System Validation:

Participate in the final validation of the core within end-system applications, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.Required Skills:Technical Skills:

Strong background in RF, High-Performance Analog/Mixed Signal integrated circuits, and DSP (Digital Signal Processing).Analytical Skills:

Ability to analyze complex data sets, particularly using FFT analysis for signal processing applications and draw conclusions from the data.Communication Skills:

Effective communication is crucial for documenting findings, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and presenting results clearly.Software Development:

Proficiency in software development, particularly in creating control software for evaluation equipment, system level software integration, and embedded core firmware evaluation.Hardware Knowledge:

Understanding of hardware design principles and PCB layout considerations.Self-Motivation:

Being proactive and able to work independently to drive projects forward.Fast Learner:

Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and technologies, essential in a fast-paced R&D environment.Ideal Candidate:Experience:

Prior experience in similar roles involving the evaluation and testing of high-speed ADCs and DACs would be highly beneficial.Innovation:
