TeamHealth is looking for exceptional general surgeons to join our acute care general surgery program at Hendrick Medical Center, a level III trauma center in Abilene, TX! To attract the best, we make sure surgeons have manageable caseloads and the right resources to provide high-quality patient care. With physicians at every level of leadership, TeamHealth is dedicated to providing opportunities and resources to help those who aspire to grow their professional development and leadership career.Qualifications:Trauma/surgical critical care fellowship requiredBoard certified by the American Board of Surgery or Osteopathic Board CertificationActive or in process Texas medical licenseWilling to relocate to the Abilene areaResponsibilities:Evaluation of all trauma and emergency general surgery consultsOutpatient follow-up in clinicRound on in-house patientsPosition Highlights:Work 7 days on/7 days offBack up call coverageSupport from mid-level providersModerate trauma with a variety of casesEmployee model with full benefits package including professional liability insurance with tail plus CME allowanceLimited billing and coding responsibilitiesAccess to TeamHealth's wellness program, professional development tools, and nation-wide network of General and Orthopedic SurgeonsHigh-tech meets compassionate careThe Hendrick name reigns over a 522-bed medical center, a women's center, rehabilitation hospital, cancer center, and numerous other innovative services.
