Part TimeThe community you’ll be caring for:AdventHealth Parker is a Level II Trauma Center that serves our community by providing excellent, community-focused health care. Since we opened our doors in 2004, we have grown into a regional medical center. In 2017, we received the designation of a Magnet Recognized Hospital. In 2018, we became one of the only five hospitals in the nation, and the only hospital in Colorado, to receive Joint Commission Certification for Bariatrics. We have 170 Licensed beds, 23 Emergency Department private rooms, and 13 surgical suites.The role you’ll contribute:Provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department. Perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining the sensitivity to patient needs. Follow standards of safe radiation practice. Demonstrate leadership abilities and be a role model for other associate technologists. Act as a clinical resource to students, staff technologists, and other hospital personnel. Assure current standards of practice for the unit.The value you’ll bring to the team:Performs diagnostic radiology procedures, providing safety for self, patients, and all other individuals. Practices all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety, reducing personal and patient exposure to “as low as reasonably achievable” (ALARA).Produces quality images in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.Prepares patient for exam. Provides information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure and responds to their physical and emotional needs.Assists the patient during exam and positions the patient.Observes patient and equipment during the procedure and reports/documents unusual occurrences and records patient’s condition.Facilitates smooth patient flow, scheduling, and optimal use of equipment/resources.The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:High School Diploma or GEDKnowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging to include Surgery and Trauma as required. Previous Radiologic Technologist experience preferred. One year post certification experience required to evaluate and/or instruct student radiographers.Registered Technologist, Radiology - R.T. (R) (ARRT)Current Basic Life Support from American Heart AssociationBone Density certification preferred within 6 months of hire, if applicable to entity.
