This position is located at the Midtown GI/Hepatology Ambulatory Clinic. The Midtown GI Clinic provides innovative tertiary care for the management of complex gastrointestinal and liver diseases.

Applies knowledge, experience and judgment to determine the importance of a situation, set priorities, and use abstract thought to evaluate clinical situations. Participates in patient and staff education. Demonstrates leadership skills. Demonstrates accountability for own practices as defined by the Nurse Practice Act.

Required Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.Valid California Registered Nurse License without restriction.Minimum of three (3) years of recent RN experience in ambulatory care.Telephonic triage experience.American Heart Association (AHA) BLS CPR or UCDH-issued CPR Certification.American Heart Association (AHA) or UCDH-issued Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.Applicants are encouraged to upload license and certification if required of the position.

Preferred Qualifications

BSN preferred.ER/ICU/PACU or GI Experience.Ambulatory Care Nurse Certification (ANCC).

Special Requirements

Works overtime as defined by the collective bargaining agreements; floats to other areas; and works weekends, holidays and call as required.This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.The University of California has implemented a SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program covering all employees.
