Audit Staff

High-performing accounting, tax and consulting firm with significant national presence in strategic US geographies.

Our Audit practice is seeking an experienced Audit professional to join our team in our Los Angeles office. As an Audit Staff in this practice, you will provide a range of assurance support and business advice to a variety of manufacturing, distribution, and technology industries, large corporations, and multi-national companies, helping to solve complex business issues that impact our clients' financial situation.

Professional Responsibilities:

Assist in the execution, reporting, and completion of financial audits of assigned manufacturing, distribution, and technology clients.Gain a comprehensive understanding of clients' operations, processes, and business objectives.Assist in the review and evaluation of clients' financial risk, reporting, and internal controls.Demonstrate your understanding of accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to assigned client situations.Demonstrate your critical thinking and the ability to learn and adapt the audit approach to the changing client environment.Work with other audit professionals to identify and help resolve client issues discovered during the audit.Provide support to help determine the validity of financial statements, business-critical information, and processes determined during the audit.Keep engagement audit senior and manager informed of the status of any issues identified that may impact the client.Maintain a good, professional working relationship with clients to enhance client satisfaction.Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct, and adhere to strict client confidentiality.

Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or a business-related field of study.An advanced degree (Masters' degree) is a plus.CPA or CPA eligible, including the minimal educational 150 credit hours required for licensure.1-3 years of relevant work experience in auditing services in a CPA firm or professional services practice.Progressive technical accounting skills with an understanding of US GAAP, GAAS, and IFRS reporting.Experience working with manufacturing, distribution, technology, large corporations, and multi-national companies and entities.Ability to complete assigned tasks and competing priorities in a fast-paced, interactive results-based environment.Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Working knowledge of ProSystem Engagement and audit preparation software programs.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.Ability to work extra hours as needed and travel to various client locations.
