Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, has a great opportunity for a Facility Security Officer in our Annapolis Junction, Maryland location. In this position you will carry out the security measures necessary for implementing requirements of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), government security regulations, and company security policies and procedures. Primary duties include the execution of the daily security program requirements as well as participation and contribution to the company’s security program. Conduct security briefings and administer an effective security education program. Adheres to and enforces security policies and procedures required for the classification, downgrading, upgrading, and safeguarding of classified information at the local facility.Responsibilities:

Experience in program security, with knowledge of implementing a multi-disciplined security program (access control, physical security, OPSEC, COMSEC etc.)Manage and maintain UL-2050 Compliant Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and automated Access Control Systems (ACS)Review, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities with appropriate government personnel to efficiently complete appropriate clearance actionsWorking knowledge of ICD 705 construction guidelines.Working knowledge of COMSECPrepare, track, and monitor DD254's forms for subcontractors ensuring 100% accuracy and completeness.Understanding of Title 32 CFR Part 117, SEAD3 reporting requirements.Processes mandatory self-reporting from program personnel to various customersReview all personnel security paperwork for accuracy, completion, and submission.Create, execute, and monitor HII Mission Technology program policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with government security requirements pertaining to personnel security, physical security, and administration.Provide guidance and instructions to all employees to ensure any event, circumstance, or act that could be considered a breach of security is reported immediately.Conduct security trainings, briefings, and debriefings.Manage, protect, and safeguard all classified materials (receive, control, route, store, mark, package, mail, and destroy all classified materials and their associated records).Maintain visitor control functions and verifying visit authorization requests (VARs) for submission.Prepare reports and presentations for all levels of Management including Senior ManagementInvestigate and report security violations and draft incident reports to include preventive action to be taken.Maintain all records in compliance with our security manual and procedures.Assist with readiness with government and company compliance audits.Must have an in-depth knowledge and familiarity with Intelligence Community Directives (ICD); DoD Manuals, and other related security requirements.Safeguards classified documents, review Security Classification Guides, and ensure compliance with protection requirements.Ability to prioritize and multi-task with minimal supervision.Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Requirements:

6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.Top Secret clearance and a CI poly completed within the five years.Strong knowledge of the NISPOM and the aspects specific to the execution of the Industrial Security Program.Must be able to work from an HII facility.Must be able to respond to alarm calls within 90 minutes.Knowledge and experience enforcing security policies and procedures.Ability to capture fingerprints electronically.Experienced in the management of a cleared facility.Strong written and oral communication skills.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Proficient Microsoft Office skills.Knowledge of the DOE, Intelligence Community, and other Government security regulatory manuals.Preferred Requirements:

Facility Security Officer Program Management for Possessing Facilities certificate of completion a plus.Establishing an Insider Threat Program Course certificate completion, a plus.Physical Requirements:
