Manager, Purchasing Raw Materials
with our corporate office located in
Dallas, TX.Responsibilities:
Develop and implement supply strategies for raw materials to establish supply security and provide long-term value while also developing strategic partnerships.Manage supplier relationships and drive supplier performance; track cost savings and spend.Manage the contracting process including RFP preparation, bid analysis, award recommendation, approval process, contract negotiation, and performance metrics for assigned materials.Function as the subject matter expert and lead initiatives to drive process improvements and reduce costs.Maintain knowledge of market trends affecting raw material procurement.Mentor and develop coworkers to drive company goals and initiatives.Ensure compliance with Corporate Policies and Procedures.Provide month-end close reporting, forecasting, and pricing outlooks to stakeholders.Provide annual operating plan pricing for assigned materials.Coordinate material trials with internal and external stakeholders.Support and contribute to supplier diversity program and sustainability initiatives.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required (Preferred: Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Finance).10+ years of purchasing, supply chain, strategic sourcing, and/or product management.Proven experience negotiating and implementing multi-year contracts.Demonstrated leadership skills in supplier/peer interactions with the ability to influence others.High proficiency in utilization of Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint).Additional Desired Qualifications:
