Waltham, Massachusetts, United StatesDirector/Senior Director, Translational MedicineDragonfly Therapeutics seeks an experienced and inspired individual to join our Translational Medicine team to drive the development of cutting-edge immunotherapies across multiple disease areas. Reporting directly to the Head of Translational Medicine, this individual will oversee the design of translational/biomarker strategies and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Research, Clinical Development, and Regulatory Affairs, as well as external CROs to ensure their seamless implementation into our clinical trials.We are looking for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment that rewards curiosity, adaptability, and boldness. The successful candidate will leverage their scientific expertise and a thorough understanding of drug development to shape biomarker strategies that help characterize mechanisms of action, identify populations most likely to respond, and define potential pathways of resistance that can guide future clinical development.If you’re driven to make a tangible difference in patients' lives, and your passion lies in pioneering transformative treatments for immune-mediated diseases, Dragonfly Therapeutics is the perfect place for you!Responsibilities (including but not limited to):Develop clinical biomarker strategies in close collaboration with cross-functional teams to inform indication selection, identify target patient populations, understand mechanisms of resistance/sensitivity, and explore rationale drug combinations.Provide tactical support to a multidisciplinary matrixed team executing translational activities across clinical programs.Be accountable for translational timelines, deliverables, and resource planning, as well as risk assessment and contingency planning.Identify and lead the evaluation, validation, and implementation of biomarker and pharmacodynamic assays at CROs for clinical use.Review, interpret, and communicate translational research and biomarker data to internal and external audiences.Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to direct reports or team members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and development.Collaborate with research and toxicology groups to augment preclinical packages and translational plans for promising preclinical programs.Qualifications:PhD or MD in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., immunology, oncology, cell biology) with 7+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry working with multi-/cross-functional teams.Previous translational experience is required, with a preference for experience with immune-mediated diseases.Proven experience in developing and implementing biomarker strategies, including assay development, validation, and data analysis for oncology programs.Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.Capable of successfully planning, coordinating, and monitoring multiple projects.Outstanding presentation and communication skills with the ability to grasp the big picture and influence to achieve desired outcomes.About Dragonfly:Dragonfly Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company committed to discovering, developing, and commercializing therapies that use its novel multispecific antibody technology to harness the body's immune system to bring breakthrough treatments to patients.
