Here's a detailed job description:Job Overview:The Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling a diverse caseload encompassing foreclosure law, bankruptcy, and litigation, with a focus on property law. The role involves managing cases from initiation to resolution, including court appearances, discovery, and settlement negotiations.Duties:Manage a litigation caseload covering probate, title curative, wrongful foreclosure, title disputes, eviction matters, tax issues, etc.Handle cases from referral through disposition, settlement, or verdict, attending court hearings, and conducting discovery.Respond to disputes, adhere to investor guidelines, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.Prepare and review accurate legal documents, including court filings, correspondence, and demand letters.Resolve title issues and undertake necessary curative actions to ensure clear title.Provide legal advice to clients, conducting research on applicable statutes and case law.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Licensed to practice law in Alabama, with licensure in additional states preferred.3+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on finance, real estate, or representation of financial institutions.Experience in real estate, mortgage, or commercial litigation strongly preferred.Familiarity with rules of evidence, state laws, civil procedure, and federal court practice.Knowledge of FDCPA, RESPA, TILA, and other relevant state and federal laws.Exceptional communication skills (oral and written) and proficiency in legal research and writing.Courtroom experience preferred.Certifications:Membership in good standing with the State Bar of Alabama and other relevant states.Skills:Proficiency in legal research, writing, and document drafting.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation.Willingness to learn and adapt to new areas of law if necessary.Company Info:BCG Attorney Search1629 K ST NW, Suite 300WashingtonDistrict of ColumbiaUnited States 20006Phone:
