[Locations Available: Bay Area (San Francisco & Mountain View, CA) or Seattle, WA]Sr. Technical Program Manager - MonetizationThe Technical Program Manager (TPM) is an integral part of the engineering organization and connects various functions (Eng, PM, UX, Doc, Support, Sales, Legal, Security, Privacy, DevRel, etc.) to define repeatable processes and drive execution velocity. TPMs lead teams through ambiguity, define requirements, find solutions, rally stakeholders, identify risks, manage constraints, communicate status, remove blockers, launch products, measure KPIs, and celebrate successes.You will drive strategic initiatives for the Money Engineering team within the R&D platform. The Money Engineering team is responsible for unlocking monetization as Databricks innovates new features and products for customers. Our roadmap is filled with strategic initiatives requiring cross-functional collaboration. You will also have opportunities to engage with Databricks' strategic customer accounts to understand their problems and devise solutions. This role will report into the R&D Operations team, part of the engineering org.The impact you will have:Work across the entire Databricks infrastructure and multi-cloud environment.Cultivate relationships with major cloud computing providers and build the foundation for the Databricks customer experience.Collaborate with engineering teams and cloud partners on large-scale projects ensuring engineering excellence in stability, scalability, and security.Automate and improve day-to-day operations and processes.Organize controls and standards across our infrastructure to achieve product stability and excellence in DevOps practices.What we look for:7+ years of technical program management experience.Bachelor's degree in a related field (EE, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering).Technical knowledge and experience in Cloud infrastructure, Big Data, and AI.Experience in program management, process definition, improvements, and influencing adoption across multiple teams.Ability to facilitate conversations to prioritize, manage tradeoffs, identify gaps and risks, drive accountability, and measure successes.Comfortable handling conflicts and escalations.Experience in project/sprint planning, execution driving, risk management, and effective communication to business stakeholders.Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams and organizations.Familiarity with agile methodology in software development and program management tools such as Jira.Experience with at least one cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP.Preferred Qualifications:Master's or advanced technical degree.Experience in driving and leading DevOps initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve development processes, deployment pipelines, and system reliability.Experience in incident management and root cause analysis (RCA).Experience building cloud infrastructure and applications.Knowledge of SQL and dashboard building.Pay Range TransparencyDatabricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is listed below, representing the base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications, and specific work location. The total compensation package may also include eligibility for an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.Local Pay Range:
