Position Objective: The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in promoting a customer and product-focused sales culture, where our values and guiding principles are at the forefront of all store operations, including managing sales operations, asset protection, and human resources functions to ensure great customer experience and maximum profitability.
Functional Responsibilities:
Performance Culture:
Analyzes sales reports and KPIs to determine the needs of the business; executes in-store business and sales strategies.
Establishes and communicates clear expectations, holding store team accountable for achieving all brand, performance, and behavior standards.
Controls payroll and supply budget.
Oversees operational activities such as scheduling, target shrink audits, and payroll accuracy.
Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and policies.
Ensures visual presentation and facility maintenance are representative of the Brand.
Develops a high-performance culture, motivating the sales team to meet assigned goals.
Trains and coaches the selling team on product knowledge.
Building High Performing Teams:
Motivates and inspires store team, developing a shared vision while modeling core values.
Promotes an inclusive, collaborative approach to problem solving.
Communicates with store teams to lead positive change.
Customer Experience:
Models and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles.
Ensures prompt resolution of customer concerns.
Ensures a fast and efficient register experience.
Talent:
Assists in recruiting and developing a high-performing team.
Drives associate engagement by recognizing outstanding performance.
Ensures adherence to all employment practices and policies.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
2+ years of retail management experience preferred
Must be 18 years of age or older
Excellent communication skills
Proven customer service skills
Strong organizational skills
Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Physical Requirements:
Constant Walking/Standing- 67-100% of 8-hour shift
Occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.- 1-33% of 8-hour shift
Frequent Climbing- 34%-66% of 8-hour shift
