at SMXLocation: United StatesSMX is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who will independently deliver services to clients through the demonstration of deep financial functional knowledge within the context of our organization. They will lead and administer the financial management of a TDL(s) under a large contract, responsible for all financial activities in support of that TDL. They are members of the program management team and work with the Sr. Financial Analyst and the Program Manager in meeting the overall contract goals and objectives.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Lead the financial management of multiple complex TDL(s) by providing cost, schedule, and funding planning, reporting, monitoring, and analysis support to the Program Manager.Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Basis of Estimates (BOEs), and time-phased budgets and schedules.Prepare TDL Project financial Estimates at Complete (EAC) and meet deadlines for submission requirements.Identify TDL Project risks and profit improvement opportunities, providing analytical contributions in working financial resolutions.Monitor TDL and manpower costs on a weekly basis, ensuring actuals are within budget and charged correctly.Ensure cost reporting documentation is accurate by performing TDL analytical reviews and arithmetic checks.Prepare accurate and complete TDL variance analysis and reporting.Monitor TDL funding status, providing reliable and timely notifications of funding status by line-item detail.Support accounts receivable during the billing processing, ensuring accuracy and allowance against the TDL.Prepare subcontractor accruals as services/goods are received in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.Perform ad-hoc financial analysis on TDL(s) as requested.Ensure adherence to GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, FAR, and all company policies related to TDL performance and financials.May serve as a career manager for direct reports, including timesheet approval/review and performance feedback.Build relationships across functional teams and internal Business Partners.Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, data management, problem-solving, critical thinking, and organization skills.Required Skills:Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain a clearance if a program requires it.Knowledge of all contract types (CP, T&M, FFP).10 years’ experience with project cost control, financial management, contract interpretation, and budget development.Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment and handle a high volume of work.Experience with Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) rules and guidelines.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint.Ability to collect and analyze data from multiple sources and solve financial problems and program risks.BA or BS Degree is desired.US citizenship required for work under DOD contract#LI-REMOTEAt SMX®, we are a team of technical and domain experts dedicated to enabling your mission.
