Visit www.qorvo.com to learn how our diverse and innovative team is helping connect, protect and power our planet.SUMMARY:The successful candidate will be based in San Jose, CA and will provide technical support to a key customer in Northern California to integrate RF components into handset designs. He/she will also assist sales with product promotion and liaise with development and product application engineers.RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop an extensive knowledge of the company’s cellular product portfolio, providing world-class applications support to our customers.Technical applications support for both customers evaluating our products and internal sales personnel.Assist sales and marketing in the preparation of technical proposals/presentations.Hands-on lab work to identify and resolve issues as well as tuning to optimize products on reference designs and smartphones (RF front-end).Analyze RF subsystems using tools such as Agilent ADS and MS Excel.Develop close relationships with the customer and coordinate activities with the sales team.Ability to travel to design locations for product training as well as to the customer for onsite support.QUALIFICATIONS:BS/BE Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or similar.Technical background in GSM, WCDMA, CDMA, LTE, and NR.Familiarity with using RF measurement equipment such as R&S CMW500, network and spectrum analyzers.Good RF system knowledge and understanding of relevant uplink/downlink ETSI/3GPP RF specifications.Power Amplifier, LNA, RF filter/switch experience.Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.Customer interface: demonstrated success in resolving customer technical issues.Team player.Self-motivated.Ability to travel.REQUIREMENTS:At least 5 years minimum handset or smartphone design experience of RF sections.At least 5 years minimum experience with communications standards, LTE, UMTS, GSM, EDGE, and WCDMA.At least 5 years experience with test equipment such as Communication Call Boxes, Spectrum Analyzers, and network analyzers.Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $129,500-$168,500 relevant for the California Bay Area (subject to change dependent on physical location).Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Qorvo reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as external competitiveness and internal comparability.Base compensation is one element of Total Rewards offered at Qorvo.
