The ideal candidate should possess strong communication, time management, and litigation skills, or the willingness to develop them, to effectively handle cases from inception to resolution.Manage a diverse portfolio of workers' compensation cases for clients, primarily in Colorado and Nebraska.Conduct legal research and provide counsel on workers' compensation laws and regulations.Prepare pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.Attend and represent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as necessary.Collaborate with clients, claims professionals, and other stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes.Maintain accurate and timely case records in the firm's case management system.Meet deadlines and manage calendars effectively to ensure timely case progression.Demonstrate proficiency in multi-tasking within a fast-paced environment of workers' compensation defense.Utilize strong analytical skills to assess case facts, evidence, and strategy.Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions and hearings.Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting workers' compensation laws.Ensure compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Admission to practice law in Colorado; admission in Nebraska is a plus.2-3 years of experience practicing workers' compensation defense law.Litigation experience or a strong desire to develop litigation skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.Demonstrated collaborative and team-oriented approach.Preferred Skills:Experience with multi-state workers' compensation laws.Prior experience with insurance defense or representing employers in workers' compensation matters.Job Location:
