And in the summer months, you can opt for compressed workweeks and long, lazy, three-day weekends!Job ResponsibilitiesOur tax managers will work on a variety of tax returns including individual, estate, trust, corporate and partnership returns for federal, state and local jurisdictions, and for a variety of industries. We also value subject matter experts who wish to focus on their own chosen interests. Managers review the work of staff accountants and participate in one-on-one group training for the tax department. This position requires a thorough knowledge of tax in a public accounting setting.Our tax managers also serve as lead providers of proactive tax planning, compliance, review and research services for a diverse group of clients in one or more industries. The tax manager will manage or supervise all phases of client engagements, may have primary client responsibility and, in some cases, may be assigned to manage larger scale projects. He/she may be called upon to deliver presentations and to write articles and to provide leadership, supervision, training and performance feedback to senior and staff level accountants.QualificationsManager level positions generally require a minimum of five years of recent public accounting experience. Excellent organizational, client service and communication skills. A CPA license is required. A Bachelor of Science or Arts in Accounting is required, Masters in Taxation or Accountancy preferred.
