Resource Options is looking for a 4-10 year Highway Engineer to join an established engineering firm in the greater Boston area! The Highway Engineer will be responsible for assisting in everything from designing and permitting to construction oversight for public and private clients. Position Responsibilities:
Collaborate with staff to design and ensure code compliance on a variety of transportation projects
Prepare studies for intersection and roadway improvement projects
Perform calculations and interpret drawings
Produce cost estimates and prepare technical reports
Develop grading, drainage, and pavement plans
Utilize computer software to provide solutions to engineering problems
Provide reliable access for all travel modes
Communicate directly with clients
Create sustainable and resilient infrastructure
Associate track (company ownership)
Qualifications:
B.S in Civil Engineering or related field
Knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D, HydroCAD, InRoads, and MicroStation
Prior experience in transportation engineering a plus
PE or ability to obtain within one (1) year is preferred
MassDOT experience a plus
Self-motivated and detail-oriented
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
