Follows instructions and standard procedures, ensures sterile environment, prepares rooms, and monitors techniques as instructed. Required to float between the Orange and Irvine locations as needed. $41.45 Required Qualifications: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Understanding of medical terminology Successful completion of an accredited course in surgical technology Two years of demonstrated surgical technologist experience in an acute care facility Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Current BLS certification Preferred Qualifications: Possession of a national Scrub Technician certification Demonstrated experience working as a Surgical Tech in a perioperative setting Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms Conditions of Employment: The University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks to provide a safe and healthy environment for the entire UCI community.
