A law firm in Tampa is seeking a Litigation Trial Attorney. The Litigation Trial Attorney will skillfully try cases, present evidence, and make arguments in civil litigation matters. They must be fully prepared for trial by reviewing pleadings, evidence, discovery, depositions, summaries, exhibits, and timelines. Membership in the Florida Bar in good standing is required, along with a proven track record of trying civil jury trials. Preferably, candidates should be board-certified as Civil Trial Lawyers and graduates of reputable trial advocacy institutes. Additionally, admission to the U.S. Middle District of Florida is necessary, along with excellent knowledge of Florida law and civil procedure.Duties:Skillfully try cases, present evidence, and make arguments in civil litigation matters.Review pleadings, evidence, discovery, depositions, summaries, exhibits, and timelines to prepare fully for trial.Collaborate effectively with paralegals, support staff, and other attorneys.Prepare clients for depositions and depose opposing expert witnesses.Understand and apply Proposals for Settlements, Offers for Judgments, etc.Utilize medical knowledge pertinent to personal injury litigation.Requirements:Member of the Florida Bar in good standing.Minimum 5 years of experience in civil litigation.Admitted to the U.S. Middle District of Florida.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Preferably a graduate of the Keenan Trial Institute, Gerry Spence Method, or the Trial Lawyers College.Certifications:Preferably Board Certified as a Civil Trial Lawyer.Skills:Strong legal research skills with the ability to interpret and apply Florida case law, statutes, and Florida Evidence Code.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team.Extensive understanding of civil trial procedures and courtroom etiquette.Medical knowledge relevant to personal injury litigation.
