SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT
Venture capital firm is currently looking for a Senior Accountant to assist with tax services. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills in conjunction with strong analytical and technical abilities. Must be detail-oriented, highly accurate, and a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment.
The finance group, which provides support to the venture capital firm and the families associated with its managing directors, currently has twenty-two people including the Chief Financial Officer and six directors.
Primary Responsibilities:
Preparing income tax returns for various individual, partnership and fiduciary returns for the family office Planning for and preparing quarterly income tax estimates and annual extensions for individual, partnership and fiduciary returns for the family office Researching tax related issues Responding to tax notices Assisting Tax managers with special projects on an as-needed basis
Qualifications:
Four-year college degree in accounting, finance, or economics required; CPA a plus At a minimum, 4 years of experience preparing individual tax returns; ideal candidates will have some experience working with ultra-high net worth clients and will have prepared investment partnership and fiduciary tax returns Proficiency using CCH Axcess or ProSystems fx Tax, CCH Workpaper Manager, and BNA Income Tax Planner a plus Competency with Adobe and MS Office products, especially Excel Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong organizational, analytical and technical abilities Detail-oriented Highly motivated; a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment Knowledgeable about the venture capital industry and investments a plus
