Description

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Hartford (BGCH) seeks a highly motivated, entrepreneurial self-starter to plan and execute strategies to engage and motivate corporate donors and their employees. The Corporate Engagement Professional will work with Program and Development departments to develop and nurture effective and sustainable corporate partnerships. This job requires some flexibility with respect to hours worked as many events and engagements occur during evening hours.

Duties and responsibilities

Develop and maintain profiles for past and current corporate donors of $5,000 or more. Profiles to include company philanthropic focus areas; organizations supported; BGCH giving and support history; connection(s) to the Clubs and / or the Board; key executives, leaders and contacts.Research, identify and develop solicitation strategies for new corporate prospects.Develop a corporate support and engagement strategy for each company that aligns with its philanthropic focus and employee engagement objectives. Strategies may comprise any or all of the following: Event sponsorships, Grant funding for BGCH programs, Employee / ERG volunteer opportunities; Internships for Club kids, Cultivation events, Club tours, Partnerships with corporate Employee Resource GroupsPartner with BGCH staff to develop, publish, promote and coordinate execution of a calendar of volunteer and / or employee engagement events and activities.Oversee coordination of volunteer events at Clubs and through the College & Career Center (workforce partnerships), including preparedness of Club program staff, welcome experience for volunteers, photos, compilation of volunteer contact information and thank you notes.Requirements

Undergraduate degree and 5-7 years' experience in fundraising, corporate social responsibility, non-profit or foundation development role(s).Self-starter with ability to initiate prospecting and schedule face-to-face meetings with key corporate executives and influencers.Persuasive writing and strong verbal communication skills; ability to write clear and compelling presentations and proposals.Strong relationship building skills, with the ability to interact with a variety of audiences at all levels of authority, including at the executive level.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working conditions

Office, committee meetings, fundraisers, special events and activities may involve a change in schedule and occasional weekend hours.

Salary Description

80,000-90,000
