A law firm is seeking a 1st Party Property Damage Attorney to join their team in Fort Myers. The candidate will be responsible for meeting with clients to discuss their cases, demonstrating compassion, empathy, and the ability to earn their trust, confidence, and respect. Additionally, they will provide clients with updates, communicate with insurance companies regarding claims, demands, and offers, and represent clients in various legal proceedings such as hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and mediations. The role requires superb negotiation skills and excellent verbal and written communication.Duties:Meet with clients to discuss their cases and demonstrate compassion, empathy, trustworthiness, and respectProvide clients with regular updates on the status of their claims, demands, and offersCommunicate effectively with insurance companies to negotiate settlements and agreementsAttend hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and mediations on behalf of clientsUtilize experience to evaluate claims and develop effective strategiesDraft legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings as requiredConduct legal research and analysis to support case strategiesCollaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure efficient case managementMaintain accurate and organized case files and documentationRequirements:Membership in the Florida Bar and in good standing2+ years of litigation experience, with preference given to candidates with First Party Property Damage experienceProficiency in claim evaluation processes and legal principlesExceptional negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful outcomesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to establish rapport with clients and earn their trust and confidenceEducation:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolCertifications:Member of the Florida Bar in good standingSkills:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong legal research and analytical abilitiesAbility to establish trust and rapport with clients
