Job Overview:

A law firm in Austin, TX, is seeking an experienced Energy Regulatory Associate Attorney to join its team. The role involves providing legal counsel on a range of energy regulatory issues, handling compliance matters and litigation, and supporting energy transactions.Duties:Counsel clients on energy regulatory issues, including market-based rate, market design, generation interconnection, and transmission issues.Represent clients in compliance and enforcement matters before FERC, the CFTC, and various exchanges, including conducting investigations, audits, and regulatory compliance work.Provide transactional support for energy mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and financing transactions.Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and advise on regulatory strategies.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar of Texas or ability to waive in.3-6 years of experience practicing energy regulatory law.Strong understanding of FERC regulations and procedures.Experience with energy transactional matters is highly desirable.Certifications:Certification in Energy Law (e.g., through the State Bar or other recognized body) is a plus.Skills:Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.Company infoBCG Attorney Search10777 Westheimer, Suite 1100HoustonTexasUnited States 77042Phone :
