Weston & Sampson is currently seeking an Environmental Project Manager with 4-10 years of relevant experience for our Reading or Foxborough MA offices. The candidate will be well-rounded Environmental Scientist, Geologist or Engineer capable of working on a variety of often multi-disciplinary environmental assessment and remediation projects. The candidate must have a strong work ethic and desire to be part of a growing team of solid waste, hazardous waste, building abatement/demolition, and site/civil engineering professionals.

What you’ll do:

Work closely with our Team Leaders and civil/environmental professionals on a variety of civil and environmental engineering and construction assignments. Typical projects include site assessment and remediation, landfill capping and closure, solid waste facility permitting and design, building abatement/demolition, underground storage tank removal/replacement, and Brownfield assessment and remediation. Help supervise and coordinate project teams to perform studies and designs using recognized industry standards and regulatory-compliant approaches.

Coordinate staff performing environmental assessment, remedial oversight, and construction monitoring activities, on MCP cleanup sites and redevelopment projects.

Prepare reports and technical memoranda for a variety of environmental projects including environmental assessment, MCP compliance, solid waste permitting, feasibility studies, and engineering design reports.

Coordinate task scheduling and design deliverables across a variety of environmental and engineering disciplines on multi-disciplinary design and construction projects.

Help develop and define project scope, schedule, and budget; determine work procedures, staffing, and sub-consultant assignments. Project monitoring and management of schedules.

What you will bring:

Ability to manage the workload demands of diverse projects and track and achieve regulatory and construction deadlines.

Taking ownership of tasks and working collaboratively to achieve client objectives and project goals. Experience delegating and mentoring, following-up, and working across disciplines on complex projects.

Experience overseeing field services (e.g., construction observation, soils logging, drilling oversight, monitoring well installation and sampling) a requirement.

A positive attitude and able to communicate effectively with others. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology, engineering, or related field.
