The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at Nemours Children's Health, Jacksonville is seeking applications for a talented
Pediatric Endocrinologist Physician Scientist
to join our faculty. Our program is the premier center for the care of children and adolescents with endocrine disorders and diabetes in northeast Florida and southeast Georgia.Ours is an academic division with 8 endocrine faculty, 5 APRNs, 5 Endocrine nurses, and 6 certified diabetes educators, along with a team of medical and administrative assistants. As the only providers of comprehensive endocrine care in the region, we have unparalleled access to all types of endocrine pathology. Our pediatric diabetes program has approximately 1200 patients to date and a significant interest in advanced diabetes technology. We also have a 3-year Pediatric Endocrine fellowship program in collaboration with the University of Florida.Our program has a heavy emphasis on clinical research with over 25 years of successful studies on the complex interactions of nutrients and hormones, specifically focusing on disorders of growth, puberty, and type 1 diabetes. We have steady funding from NIH, private foundations, and industry. Our program is integrated with Wolfson Children's Hospital, a state-of-the-art 240-bed facility adjacent to our outpatient clinic. The hospital has a well-staffed Clinical Research Center for complex physiological and interventional studies in children.We are seeking a driven academician and innovator who can combine clinical practice with translationally relevant clinical research, preferably at the Associate Professor or Professor level.
