The Colleges seek a part-time faculty member in Dental Assisting. This position is a “pool” position meaning that openings may or may not be currently available.Duties and Responsibilities
Provide instruction in Dental Assisting.Implement skill building in the Dental Assisting lab setting.Prepare class assignments and coursework.Grade student work.Record and post grades in a timely fashion.Consult with students during regularly scheduled office hours.Participate in Dental Assisting team, department, and division meetings.Assist in curriculum development and revision.Perform other duties as required.Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a Bachelor’s degree AND two years of dental assisting experience OR an Associate degree AND six years of dental assisting experience OR the equivalent.A current California Registered Dental Assistant license (in good standing).A current national Certified Dental Assistant license (in good standing).A current CPR certificate.Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.Conditions of Employment
Prior to employment, the selected candidate will be required to complete the following: submit official transcripts, verifications of prior employment, satisfactory references, and clear a background check.EEO Statement
