Pay Range:
$17.00-$22.10 per hour
Under the Grocery Manager supervision, the
Assistant Grocery Manager
performs the following duties:TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESEnsures that department employees provide excellent customer service and receive appropriate customer service trainingAssists the Grocery Manager as necessary to train, schedule, and maintain a qualified teamEnsures grocery departments are fully stocked, faced, prices and rotated, following established merchandising proceduresEnsures that sales floor department shelves, displays, aisles, and storage areas are maintained in a clean, orderly condition, satisfying Health Department and store safety standardsHandles unsellable items that are returned for credit or disposed of following Mother’s Market proceduresCommunicates maintenance needs to the Grocery ManagerAssists Grocery Manager in the design and implementation of procedures for ordering, receiving, inventory tracking, and back room organizationDirects department merchandising layout including special displays and promotionsMeets labor, sales and margin goals determined in accordance with the Store ManagerCommunicates relevant sales, standards, expectations, policy changes and product knowledge to teamParticipates in inventory countsSupports the Grocery Manager as neededOther related duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:Stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)Climb ladders, squat, bendLift and carry boxes and crates up to 75 poundsExtend arms overhead and reach for products and boxesMay work both inside and outside in wet and/or cold weather conditionsStock shelves using carts, box cutters and dolliesSpecial Requirements:Must be available to work various shifts as needed
