Health Care Associate Attorney

A law firm in Baton Rouge is seeking a Health Care Associate Attorney with 1-6 years of experience in healthcare matters. The ideal candidate will have expertise in one or more areas such as Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid billing and reimbursement, medical staff matters, physician contracting, clinical trials, compliance issues for healthcare providers, hospital/physician alignment, and transactional health law issues. Hospital counsel experience is preferred, along with strong academic credentials, excellent communication, and writing skills.Duties:Provide legal counsel and advice to healthcare clients on various regulatory and compliance matters.Conduct legal research and analysis related to health care laws and regulations.Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents pertaining to health care transactions and operations.Assist with the development and implementation of compliance programs for healthcare providers.Represent healthcare clients in administrative proceedings and investigations.Advise on matters related to medical staff issues, physician contracting, and clinical trials.Assist with provider enrollment, licensing, and credentialing matters.Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.Provide guidance on hospital/physician alignment and transactional health law issues.Stay updated on changes in health care laws and regulations affecting clients.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.1-6 years of experience in health care matters.Strong understanding of health care laws and regulations.Familiarity with Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, HIPAA, and Medicare/Medicaid regulations.Excellent communication and writing skills.Hospital counsel experience preferred.Strong academic credentials.
