page of our website.The Abstractor VII supervises a group of abstractors engaged in land title examinations and in preparing abstracts of land title information to determine ownership of land; assigns land title examinations and reviews completed work for accuracy and completeness; participates in searching legal documents; supervises a staff engaged in writing Certificates of Title and preparing title reports; and performs other related duties as assigned.To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:Legal Authorization to Work:

Applicants MUST possess knowledge of and the ability to speak, write and read the HAWAIIAN LANGUAGE in addition to the English Language as you will be required to read historical land documents and non-technical material written in the Hawaiian Language. If you do not possess this requirement, your application will be rejected.General Experience:

Two (2) years

of progressively responsible work experience involving one or a combination of the following:

a) preparing; b) reviewing; or c) extracting information from legal documents and/or records dealing with real property ownership or transactions.Specialized Experience:

Three (3) years

of progressively responsible work experience involved in the

examining and analyzing of real property ownership records and documents to determine and evidence title to real property.Special Requirements:

Applicants must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds unassisted with or without reasonable accommodations.Supervisory Aptitude:

Supervisory aptitude rather than actual supervisory experience may be accepted. This requirement will be considered to have been met when there is strong affirmative evidence of the necessary supervisory abilities and/or potential.Substitutions Allowed:
