Job Description - Assistant Professor - Plastic Surgery, Memphis (22000002NY)The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), College of Medicine, Department of Plastic Surgery, is accepting applications for an Assistant Professor. The primary duties of the position include:Clinical Duties (UCH) and Academic Plastic Surgery:

Provide care for plastic surgery patients in the inpatient and outpatient setting.Engage in the academic and educational missions of the institution.Develop a practice focused on aesthetic surgery.This is a full-time, non-tenure-track position. The successful candidate will participate in the education of medical residents, fellows, postdoctoral scholars, and students.Qualifications:Candidate must be Board eligible/Board certified.Candidate must be committed to providing quality clinical care, student/resident teaching, and research.Fellowship in Aesthetic Surgery is desirable but not required.Necessary teaching skills.Ability to manage multiple projects.Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to network effectively.Strong written, oral, and presentation skills.Exceptional attention to detail.Applicants should have a demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of equal employment opportunity and affirmative action.The University of Tennessee Health Science Center is the flagship statewide, public, academic health institution in Tennessee.
