Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience to join its team in Stamford, CT. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background and exceptional writing skills and be admitted to practice in New York and/or New Jersey, with additional admission in Connecticut being advantageous. This position offers an opportunity to work on various commercial litigation matters in a fast-paced environment.Duties:Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on various legal issues.Prepare for and participate in federal and state court appearances.Assist in all phases of litigation, including trial preparation and attendance.Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts as necessary.Manage case files and maintain documentation.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to practice law in New York and New Jersey; admission in Connecticut is a plus.2-5 years of relevant experience in commercial, commercial foreclosures, and bankruptcy litigation.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.Skills:Proficiency in legal research tools and software (Westlaw, LexisNexis, etc.).Exceptional writing and drafting skills.Strong advocacy skills and courtroom experience.Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear recommendations.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
