Indiana State University seeks applications and nominations for an exceptional individual to serve as Vice Provost for Strategic Enrollment. The University is seeking a team builder and strategic thought partner to design, develop, and implement a strategic vision related to the recruitment and enrollment of new students. During the last two years, the university has experienced growth in new enrollment and seeks a visionary leader to continue this positive momentum.Since its establishment in 1865, Indiana State University (ISU) has consistently upheld its respected reputation as an all-inclusive, state-assisted public university offering bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. Indiana State is in the heart of downtown Terre Haute, a city of 60,000 residents sitting 15 miles from the state line of Illinois and along the Interstate 70 corridor.The VPSE reports directly to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, and partners with academic deans, faculty, and administrative leaders. The VPSE will oversee all aspects of new enrollment, including the Office of Admissions, Financial Aid, New Student Orientation, Marketing to all new student populations, Communication Center, and Educational Partnerships.The Vice Provost for Strategic Enrollment is responsible for leading a team of more than 50 professionals in driving enrollment growth and enhancing the university’s reputation as a university of choice. The VPSE will work closely with the Strategic Enrollment Management Committees to develop additional strategies to enhance enrollment growth. As a thought and strategy leader, the VPSE will build upon the recent new student enrollment growth and advance the goals established in the university’s strategic plan. The Vice Provost should understand market trends and demographic changes, be a data-informed decision-maker, and shape policies and processes that support the University's commitment to access.The successful candidate should demonstrate the following qualifications and skills:A master’s or doctoral degree;Ten years of progressively responsible and demonstrated success in higher education enrollment management, with at least five years as a supervisor of professional staff;Demonstrated ability to lead and support a diverse staff and work with a diverse faculty and student body;Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across university divisions to advance a unified new recruitment strategy;Prior work with the strategic planning process, including development and execution;Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including expertise in presenting publicly and speaking on behalf of the university;The ability to identify data needed to drive decision-making and analyze present and future enrollment metrics.All applications, nominations, and inquiries are invited.
