SURGERYDuties and Responsibilities
Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine Department of Surgery is seeking a Colon and Rectal Surgeon to join its team. The clinical program includes treatment of benign and malignant colorectal disease, inflammatory bowel diseases, anorectal conditions, and functional disorders. Collaboration with oncologists, urogynecologists, gynecologic oncologists, and gastroenterologists is robust. Competence with laparoscopy and robotic surgery is expected, along with an interest in endoscopy. Participation in multidisciplinary programs with the pelvic floor disorder and GI oncology teams is required.Candidates should be board certified/eligible in Colon and Rectal Surgery and General Surgery, demonstrating dedication to clinical excellence, teaching, scholarly activity, and institutional service. Teaching and mentoring of general surgery residents is essential, and clinical research is strongly encouraged. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.Qualifications
