Bachelor'sResponsibilities:Create and manage inventory databases (animal tissues, antibodies, reagents, etc.)Develop laboratory safety protocols, manage training, and related records.Evaluate new types of experimental approaches/analyses and recommend changes to protocols.Plan, execute, and arrange laboratory experiments, new techniques and procedures.Operate laboratory machines and instruments; prepare specimens and equipment for use.Assist in the preparation of Animal Study Protocols and establish local processes to ensure adherence to approved protocol requirements.Perform sample management and storage.Maintain stocks of laboratory reagents.Organize and store all chemicals and laboratory reagents according to safety requirements.Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies.Manage chemical & biological waste procedures (local processes).Clean and sterilize instruments, glassware, and equipment.Maintain animal records database, perform mouse genotyping and recording.Assist with management of after-hours emergencies (e.g., equipment failure).Initiate purchase orders for laboratory supplies.Assist in training of new staff and students.Perform routine equipment maintenance.Assist in establishing new laboratory protocols.Provide insights and expertise and recommend new strategies and approaches.Engage in problem solving as required to solve technical difficulties and ensure steady progress, with a goal of providing high quality experimental data suitable for publication.Software Requirements:PowerPointMS AccessOutlookField of Study:Molecular BiologyNeuroscience
