Your Role on the Team
Position Summary:The Phlebotomist is primarily responsible for collecting patient blood via venipuncture or skin puncture. In addition, phlebotomists also perform clerical duties such as answering telephone calls directed at the front desk of the laboratory, as well as logging the specimens in the laboratory management system and processing them for testing.
What It Takes to be Successful
Required Qualifications:Required:
Minimum Requirement: Candidate must be CA licensed.Current American Heart Association BLS certification.Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience with adults and pediatric blood collections.Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
