Reporting to the chief executive officer, the senior vice president of information technology (SVP) is the top IT executive in Willis-Knighton Health System (WK), providing vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives in support of the health system’s operations and strategic plan, in order to improve both cost effectiveness and service quality. The SVP will plan, coordinate, direct, and design all operational activities of the IT department, as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. As a member of the executive team, he or she will collaborate directly with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.Minimum Requirements
A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree in information technology, business, or healthcare administration is highly preferred.Proven experience consolidating and leading IT, as well as working closely with the clinical team to implement an EHR for an integrated delivery system is required.At least fifteen years of progressively responsible IT experience, preferably as the top IT leader within a system, is highly preferred.Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through day-to-day management, with an excellent understanding of project management principles.
